The family running the homestay were friendly and accommodating. They provided useful information and recommendations. The room was spacious and clean, with a balcony overlooking a peaceful patio. The air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was stocked with toiletries. it felt like a comfortable and relaxing home away from home.

There was no water in the room, which was unexpected. It would have been nice to have bottled water provided, as we experienced at other homestays.

Brand new place with state of the art furnishings. Close to bus and train stations and a short walk away from the beach. The manager/owner was extremely helpful and accommodating, providing valuable advice for our onward journey and even dropping us off at a local restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the best we've had in Sri Lanka, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. The WiFi was fast and reliable, allowing for hassle-free video calls.

The morning light can be a bit too strong and may wake you up early. The price may be slightly on the expensive side for backpackers on a tight budget.

dedunu home bentota was a step up from my previous stay, exceeding all expectations. the hosts were incredibly warm and kind, the room was clean and well-appointed, and the morning fruit plate was the best i had in sri lanka. they even arranged a safe taxi to the airport.
